Hi Adam. The principal resource for writing plug-ins to Final Cut Studio is the FxPlug SDK. Go to connect.apple.com, Log in, click Downloads, click Applications, and click FxPlug SDK.

If you are interested in writing a Final Cut-only script rather than a full plug-in, you might check out the FXScript documentation. I THINK this ships with Final Cut Studio but maybe somebody will correct me there.
