Hi, Andreas,
the naming convention that Final Cut uses for its render files isn't
publicly published; it's more of an internal implementation detail
which is subject to change at any time. In fact, it has already
changed slightly once or twice in Final Cut's history.
The application is designed so that the user shouldn't have to worry
about the what the render files are named, or where they exist on
disk. Generally, our built-in Media Manager worries about that.
Can you be more specific about why you need to find the render
files? Maybe we can find another approach for what you're trying to
accomplish. If there isn't another way, I imagine that you can
figure it out by looking at the file names, but do be aware that the
naming scheme might change in the future.

Hi all,
Does anyone know about a reference which explains the different
namings of FCP render files?
It's more or less self-explaining, but I just want to make sure.
Thanks in advance
Andreas
