Well, I guess one could. But I think it is somewhat messy, and not all
that reliable. An Apple Event would be cleaner, and more succinct. And
it wouldn't end up in a file, but in RAM, accessible to our apps right
away.
Remember, this is just a request, a suggestion. Not really saying
can't be done any other way. As a matter of fact, I think I'll prefer
for the user to manually save an XML over GUI scripting... but that's
just me.
Thanks for pointing out the GUI option, I hadn't thought of that,
