I'm sure the Apple guys will be able to answer definitively, but my
feeling is that you can't get there from here. FxTemporalImageAPI
looks like it only deals with the input image(s) associated with the
effect itself. Plus there doesn't appear to be a programmatic means
of determining where clips are on the timeline if they're not
associated with your effect.

image. I don't know if that means it simple can't access one
altogether.
