Job Listing We are seeking a senior software engineer to join Apple’s Final Cut Studio team to help create the next versions of the Studio’s Effects SDK. This engineer will be a key technical contributor on this exciting, award winning content creation suite. We are looking for an individual who strives to improve the SDK with input from internal and external clients. Key Responsibilities - Help to define the long-term vision of the SDK
- Take responsibility of organizing, planning, designing, and implementing new APIs and advancing existing APIs
- Lead cross-application group of engineers to define APIs, while representing the needs of ISVs
- Support SDK clients
- Maintain software examples
- Work with a tech writer to update documentation
- Coordinate WWDC and kitchen presentations
Key Requirements - Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Great communications skills
- Strong applied software methodology, process, and quality skills
- Proven expertise in architecting, designing, and implementing APIs for graphics applications
- Extensive experience using SDKs for multiple graphics applications to develop plug-ins
- Expert knowledge of C++ and Objective-C and the tradeoffs between those languages (nice to have)
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent; 8+ years experience

Final Cut Studio Engineering is looking for an enthusiastic candidate for a spring/summer 2008 internship with the video editing workflow team. This is an opportunity to help shape the next generation of professional video editing tools. Responsibilities may include creation and modification of code related to the video editing engine and UI, and their associated testing software.
Requirements * Enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate Electrical Engineering or Computer Science degree program at an accredited university * Proficiency with C, C++, and/or Objective-C * Prior exposure to Mac OS X operating system * Excellent teamwork and communication skills * Interest in product development
Desirable but not required * Experience with UI design/implementation * Experience with video applications
