Hi, Trevor,
The FxPlug SDK should not have any affect on how FXScripts are run in
Final Cut. It's possible that something in this area changed in a
recent version of Final Cut, perhaps from 6.0.1 to 6.0.2. Are you
sure that installing the SDK was the only change you made to your
system?
If it seems like the SDK is at fault, could you send me your
FXScript? You can encrypt it in the EffectBuilder if you would rather
keep its contents private.
Thanks,
- Paul

Not sure where else to ask about this... I noticed after installing
the FxPlug SDK 1.2.2, FCP started acting strangely. I had a
previously created fxscript plugin that was no longer handling the
opacity setting of the multiply command correctly. It worked fine
before under the same circumstances.
The problem seems to be with bringing in content that is not the
same size as the timeline. Instead of fading back to the original
image the opacity simply fades to black. If the imported image is
the same size as the timeline then it works fine.
From looking at what the sdk has installed I don't see a reason for
this to change anything in fcp. I've installed nothing else between
the time it was working and now. This really isn't that big of an
issue as most users won't be using this plugin (which I am porting
to fxplug now) on images that don't match the size of the timeline,
but it could point to some other underlying problem that may pop up
down the road in a worse way.
