Oh, for just drawing a line. Yes, you can. Just set the render mode to "Draft". It's in the "View" popup menu in the toolbar:

Can you describe in more detail what you are doing? I don't understand what you mean by "Every 'single line' is imported and drawn..." How are you importing these lines?
