I think the easiest way to do this is to make a disk image which the users can mount. Then you can control the path to the media files.

I want to specify the location of the media (pathurl) in the project so that when the user imports the XML the project can find it. Everything I try results in warnings about media not being found and requires the user to reconnect it.
Is it possible to make it work the way I want?
