Anyone ever seen this when dealing with clips imported to FCP via XML? I used to see it occasionally on my own system when developing Loader - if I double-clicked a newly imported clip to open it into the Viewer and pressed space bar, then the playhead wouldn't move even though the clip was playing. Interestingly I discovered the issue didn't occur when *dragging* the clip from the Browser to the Viewer.
Now we've just had the first report from a customer on the same issue. After telling him about my discovery with dragging the clip, he confirmed the workaround and added more: "I think you have diagnosed this correctly. I double clicked the clip and it happened. I did not have to do the XML thing to fix it. I just loaded a slug into the viewer and it cleared up. I could then double click on the clip or drag it to the viewer and everything would be fine. It only happened the first time I double clicked a clip after the import."
FWIW When Loader sends a bin/clips to FCP it makes a temporary XML file and launches it, so nothing unusual.
