Sounds like it's creating a .dv multiplexed stream inside a QT mov.
QT (and FCP) don't deal elegantly with multiplexed files.
Best advice would be to convert form the multiplexed dv stream into
a more "normal" dv video track, dv audio track and the TC track,
rather than the one multiplexed track.
No, it's a regular QT movie with a DV - PAL video track, an
Uncompressed stereo audio track, and a timecode track. It's just not
one created by Final Cut. I can imagine the media might be
interleaved differently but it should still be a perfectly normal
.mov file.
