Hi all,
Basically a company we’re working with is having problems playing out XDCAM 422 50Mbps .mov files and they think it could be due to the splitting of the mov header by their Omneon.
When using FCP 6.0.6 is the mov header created differently when using File > Export > Quicktime Movie… leaving the Setting option to Current Settings as oppose to changing the Setting option to a preset and doing a conversion?
The reason I ask is because if you do a conversion to HDV the Omneon system has no problems but when left at current settings there is no problem.
I am sending them various test files today to go through several theories but I figured I’d post here also in hope you guys can inform in the subtleties of QT mov header creation.
Also is Dumpster (or similar) still available for mov header reading? The dmg link doesn’t seem to work on the apple dev site…
Thanks
