FCP: Source Movie Reference

Hello All,
I am working on developing a quick time export component for Final Cut Studio. This component works fine when invoked FCP export action such as File->Export->Using QuickTime Conversion ... .
Now I would like to invoke the same via code by passing user dialogs that asking the selection of the component.
 I know how to call the quick time component from  code but the issue is how to get the reference of the movie inside the selected sequence in the current FCP project.high

Any help highly appreciated.
