Good morning. Apologies if this is a rank newbie question.
I'm writing an app that needs to know how the <sourcetrack><trackindex> property in a FCP XML audio track relates to the Track ID of each QTTrack in the associated QTMovie.
So, for example my FCP XML timeline contains an audio clip that has a <sourcetrack><trackindex> of 2
The associated quicktime movie has, say, one video and four audio tracks. As far as I can see these will have IDs 1,2,3,4,5 and I can get that from the QTTrack's track attributes.
I want to create a new QTMovie representing my FCP audio clip, which should contain *only* the audio track that appears in the timeline. The XML has this as 2, but which QTTrack ID is it?
I'm guessing that the video is always track 1, and that audio tracks are numbered 2 onwards, in which case in my example above I'd want the Quicktime movie track with ID=3. But this is just a guess...
Hope you can help!
Regards and thanks
Jeremy Smith
