Subject: Time limit creating GUI in Logic 9.1's 32-bit AU wrapper?
Hi All,
I'm just trying to track down a problem with using Alchemy (our AU synth plugin) in Logic 9.1 running in 64-bit mode. The 32-bit wrapper crashes just after opening the plugin's editor. I'm finding debugging very difficult as the wrapper process usually (although not always) crashes immediately after attaching to it with the debugger in XCode. For this reason I have had to resort to logging to see what is happening. It appears that it is successfully reaching the end of the AUCarbonViewBase::CreateCarbonView method but after this it immediately receives a SIGKILL signal that is causing it to crash. Is there a time limit on how long this method should take to run that is causing it to be killed straight after returning?
Thanks,
John Proctor - Developer
