Hello again,
I can see why it is necessary to hang on to deleted master clips when & if they are used elsewhere in the project. However, the way that this seems to behave is VERY confusing. If we use the TOC to present the user on an app with a list of clips, and those clips aren't 'really' there, then we'll get all sorts of nasty comments from our users, won't we? I think you guys should stash them in a separate, defined place, so that we can filter them out. As of now there is no way to tell if a clip at the project root is 'virtual' or not.
As for the other items needing the master clips to inherit from, don't they have everything encoded anyways? For example, if you go for the file paths, they are readily found in the clipitems in a sequence.

If you got a linked clipitem inside a sequence this clipitem will be listed as it is (linked) and all the subparts will be listed addinationally, so there will be different UUIDs.
