Hi Bob,
Thanks for the prompt reply and clarification.
I did hope that there would be a more satisfying answer.
Thanks

Hi Andreas,
I wrote the log and transfer plugin for Canon. You are correct
about the laconic a clip ID. it has to be generated by the plugin,
in this case.
I can't say how it is created. Mainly because they have altered my
code, since selling to software to them. What it currently does, is
different from what I had wrote.

Hi all,
To create an offline XML which is ready for Log & Transfer one
needs the 'com.apple.proapps.ClipID'.
This is not a problem with P2 cards as it is stored in the P2 XML.
With Canon h.264 this id is not in the THM nor in the MOV file --
at least I can't find it. The tag for the 'Unique Image ID' just
doesn't exist in the THM.
Does any one know what Final Cut Pro needs (or how it works inside
Final Cut Pro) to get the needed 'com.apple.proapps.ClipID'?
Any ideas or insights are highly appreciated.
Andreas
