Alex,
As I mentioned last week, I discussed this with our designers, and the problem is not on your end. What you're trying to do won't work due to the way things work inside the apps. The only option to get the results you want is to write an FxPlug with the appropriate OSC. It might be worth doing, depending on how popular your plug-in is.
