Did you see this?

Motion Effects and Final Cut Pro
The biggest change is that all FxPlugs will now run either directly in Motion, or as part of a Motion Effect running inside of Final Cut Pro.

I believe you need to check in Mo5 to see if your plugin is seen. All effects, transitions, titling in FCX appear to be Motion projects. Only Motion has direct access to the FxPlug plugins.

That's if I'm not mistaken.

Anyone been able to get rebuilt plugins to load in FCPX? I was able to grab version 2 of FxPlug from developer account at developer.apple.com - it has the additional headers and 64-bit frameworks.

When I run-up FCPX it's throwing-out the 32-bit plugins, but silently accepting my 64-bit version?  Can't see anything in the Effects window (under "All") either?  Thought it might be plist related, so built one of the Xcode template examples - still no luck?

Looks like there is something called FXPlug2 for Motion,

Wonder how someone gets an SDK for that?

Also I see that Motion is now $50. That's a stand-alone again?

So, a statement on FCP X and 3rd party FxPlug support would be nice.  Is
there support? What kind of support (that is, features available), etc.?

I see there are some developers in the know:
