FCP crash

In the last few days I've been seeing odd crashes in FCP. After removing the plugins I've been developing out of the way, FCP was still crashing now and then. My only instructions for reproducing it seem to be after starting FCP, select a custom view arrangement (previously saved), then select a sequence and double click a video effect. Crash.
I have reported this to Apple bug reporter - it's problem ID is 9074284.
Any one else seen this? I'm using a late Mac Pro (MacPro5,1), 10.6.6., FxPlug 1.2.5, FCP 7.0.3 - all the latest releases, on a clean OSX install.
For reference here's my stack trace of each crash:
Program received signal: “EXC_BAD_ACCESS”.
