Hi all,
Working on some apps which should convert timecode to FCPXML times I discovered something I don't understand.
There might be clip timings like below (timing is created by another app I don't know nor have influence on development of these apps)
In 00:00:05:00 Out 00:00:10:00
In 00:00:10:00 Out 00:00:15:00
...
In 00:10:05:00 Out 00:10:10:00
In 00:10:10:00 Out 00:10:15:00
So each out is same as next in.
Values can be converted to "FCPX time" like 00:00:05:00 => 5s, 00:00:10:00 => 10s or like 00:00:05:00 => 50/10s, 00:00:10:00 => 100/10s – or any integer/integer
Once I create a timeline/project (FCPXML) FCPX imports it without errors. But looking at the timeline in FCPX there are duplicates of some clips at random time with strange timings.
For example importing 35 clips (source and XML) can create 40 clips in the actual project within FCPX. The more clips I have the more confusing the project looks.
Using other apps rather then FCPX do read the FCPXML fine without creating duplicates.
So I thought to change the source files like:
In 00:00:05:00 Out 00:00:10:00
In 00:00:10:01 Out 00:00:15:00
...
In 00:10:05:01 Out 00:10:10:00
In 00:10:10:01 Out 00:10:15:00
But even that doesn't work.
Any ideas what's going wrong???
-Andreas
