I'm just asking myself how x/y clip offsets from a project are calculated when writing an XML. For example seeing a 20/20 px offset(using the Inspector and typed in) in FCP X will save a 'position="1.85185 1.85185"' to the XML. When doing the reverse (using the XML) there will be a value of 19.99998. Okay its close to 20 and could be rounded.
But what happens if I don't use the Inspector but just drag the clips with the transform tools? For example I drag a clip horizontal and the Inspector shows "-36.1". The XML shows "-3.34219", the converted value will be "36.095652". Again close to the value seen in FCP X. Rounded it will be 36.
So my question is where to set the "rounding point" is it tenth or hundreds?
Thanks Andreas |
