Perhaps I have a permission issue somewhere? Pete

Okay,
I’ve been working for several weeks on a plugin using the new XPC/FxPlugin/App model. Everything was working fine until today. Now my plugin won’t load.
It will load on another machine, but not my main development machine (and I need to work on my dev machine for obvious reasons !) . I suspect that it has something to do with file permissions, database files or setup that pluginkit demon requires. At some point during the day I wasn’t able to run pluginkit -a or pluginkit -r. I was getting the following errors.
pluginkit -a /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/PetesStuff/Projects\ FINAL/Projects\ FCPApps/DEFlicker.app/Contents/PlugIns/MyPlugin.pluginkit
add: unable to save changes: (null)
So I removed the pluginkit directory in var/folders as directed to do by some web post I found. I also removed /Users/peterlitwinowicz/Library/Containers/com.apple.InternalFiltersXPC/ in case it had the wrong permissions. (The directory was regenerated when I restarted FCP/Motion) After doing those two things (plus maybe something else I don’t remember doing ;-)) I was able to run pluginkit –a again.
Also when I start Motion or FCPX on the problematic machine I’m getting this: 3/2/15 6:01:41.416 PM com.apple.launchd[1]: (com.REVisionEffects.MyPluginXPC) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
Anyone seen this? Help? Pete
