Hello all,
here is a tricky one, I think.
I am looking at programmatically putting titles based on a set of Motion-based custom presets - they might be called templates, right?
These templates all share a parameter that I believe to control a ‘rig’. I’d like to set that parameter programmatically in the FCP-X XML for each of the templates. However, the keys for that parameter is different in each template.
Here is a sample line from the FCP-X XML:
<param name="Crop" key="9999/551412442/551412443/551412444/551412548/1/216" value="0 279 0 0”/>
The question is, can I manipulate the templates so that the rig uses a specific key in the XML representation? Is there a way to do that in Motion?
If not in Motion, can I edit the XML in the .moti file that seems to represent the template?
Seems like there is meaning to the sequence of numbers in that key. Looks like the parts between the slashes show up in the .moti file identifying groups, layes, and such.
Any hints would greatly be appreciated.
