Hello all,
I am looking at manipulating an FCP-X XML file so that for a given text the crop value for a title from Motion template is just right.
From the XML I have the font and the font size, so that I can make an NSAttributedString of my text, and then I can ask it for its size.
The idea is to then calculate the right amount of cropping for the backdrop of the text.
I have two questions about this: First, is this the right approach?
Second, if so, once I have the text element’s size, what do I compare it against? Is there a standard, virtual frame size to use? I am asking this because the title looks the same relative to the frame it’s in, regardless whether it’s placed in a 960p or a 1920p project.
Any hints will be much appreciated.
