I've had trouble with SUS. Specifically in setting it up standalone. (for unmanaged clients) Initially the server had some trouble obtaining updates but that seemed to go away after a few days. My main problem is that clients were not always seeing updates that were on the server. Corey looked into this with me too and had similar results with 10.6 server.

All,
I'm wondering if anyone else fights the Apple Software Update server as much as I? Here is a very nice and brief sampling from the service log:

I'll run a clean swupdate server, and get all of the initial updates, and further get new updates without errors. Over time, I start getting these error messages. So, I followed instructions to clear all of the settings and db downloads of the swupdate service. That works, though I download all of the updates again. I haven't had a problem with doing that; it's still saving a ton of bandwidth.
However, I just noticed this morning that 10.5.X OS updates are no longer listed in the Updates tab of the server admin app. I still have 10.4.11 OS updates on the newest list I just updated this morning.
Does anyone else constantly fight with ASUS?
Regards, David
