IMHO, Deep Freeze will mess with Adobe Installations, especially
Photoshop as Photoshop tends to seek “swap disk” space depending on your
configuration and how much RAM you have in the machines. Also, programs from
Adobe need to run in Administrator mode and on older versions of Deep Freeze
that was also problematic, however, I haven’t used Deep Freeze for 4 or 5 years.…
RRCC is currently using MacShield from Centurion on the Intels…MacShield
is great, however, their windows product Smart Shield has been problematic for
us…
Agreed you have to have something on to protect the image, if
anyone has had good luck with a product that works on both sides of the house
please chime in!

Hi Lawrence,
I have seen Deep Freeze used to great effect in deployments
of varying sizes. I'm sure there are voices on the list with real world
opinions on it.
I would first answer your question with more questions!
What exactly are you looking to get from the system? What are the
educational and management issues you hope to solve with Deep Freeze?

Hi Apple Rockies Team,
I’m getting ready to test out Deep Freeze to keep my configurations in order in
my labs and am wondering
if anyone out there uses it and has an opinion about it. Any gotchas I
should look out for?
Thanks,
Lawrence
