Funny you mentioned that. I've noticed the same thing with our 10.5.8
server. In Sever Admin the serial number "comes and goes". (This is a
unlimited server license) This caused a problem at startup, The mail
service failed to start. Seems ok now after poking at it in admin, but
I'm wondering if the problem will persist after the next restart.

I have a new Mac OS X 10.5.8 I have it set up running AFP, DHCP, DNS,
ICAL, Mail, Open Directory, Postcast Producer, Software update, Web,
Xgrid, I have ran all software updates. Up until today its has worked
great. The problem I am getting a invalid serial number on my software
and its current. If I shut down start back up it will run for about 5
minutes then it gives me the invalid serial number number again.
Thanks Sandy Buckner
