Hi Michael,
First off your questions are perfect for the iPhone OS tech talks next week, let me know if you didn't catch the flyer Corey posted on the list here.
Typically we would see a master sync station, with a single iTunes account that is not tied to a credit card, and teachers redeeming iTunes gift cards to purchase iBooks, Apps. But I'd like to hear more about the expected usage to give the best recommendation.
Talk to us a little more about the classroom workflow. How will students be using the devices? Sounds like a check in / check out for every X class periods, across multiple instructors? Do the instructors carry a laptop, is there a computer in the classroom? Any field work? Paint a use picture for us.

All, we are working on a classroom of iPad’s which would be checked out to students during each class. How is the best way to provision iTunes from an enterprise point of view to install apps, books, etc. on 30+ units (do we call these machines)? We would like to pay for the apps and books with a university credit card, suggestions. Thanks.
