We're trying to run a task server via ARD on our server, and have
everything set up, but we access our server via ARD to access the
server itself, as it is in a remote location.
The problem is this:
1. I access the server on an admin station, via ARD
2. I start up ARD on the server to allow for scheduled tasks to be run
3. After confirming everything on the server, I exit out of ARD on the
admin station, while leaving ARD running on the server
4. I attempt to access the server again through ARD from the admin
station and am unable to do so
When attempting to access the server while it is running ARD, it
generates an error stating that since the server is running ARD, I am
unable to access the server to connect remotely. The only way to access
the server again is to kill the application via terminal or reboot the
server altogether.
Are there any workarounds or ways in which I could allow access via ARD
to be able to access the server while it is running its own version of
ARD? I realize that this sounds a little convoluted, so if there is
anything I could clarify, please let me know.
Thanks,
