Hi Damon,
According to the keynote address, the Mac App Store will follow processes and guidelines that are very similar to the iOS App Store. They are laid out on the developer site, which requires a free developer account to view.
https://developer.apple.com/appstore/mac/resources/approval/guidelines.html
You can still sell traditionally or on the Mac App Store. I haven't found any information regarding having an app in both places, but I'll post that as soon as I do find it. In regards to management, restriction of upgrades, distribution of software, imaging, etc., those are all topics that won't be fully resolved until we get all of the details of Mac OS X 10.7, which we simply don't have right now. With a ship date of Summer 2011 being the target for 10.7, we'll have to cross that bridge when we get the next round of additional details. Sorry I don't have more information on it at this time.
