Take a look at www.logmein.com
A very similar service to GoToMyPC, but "remote desktop" access is free for an unlimited number of computers (provided they have internet access).
Their app (LogMeIn Ignition) runs $20 but works great... you can see a list of all your PC's from one interface. Your account also works for web-based remote access as well, not just via the iPhone/iPad app. Great security features, encryption, supports dual monitors, etc.
Advanced features are available with their yearly paid subscriptions. Examples are clipboard synchronization, file transfers, file sharing, remote printing, remote sound, share desktop via invitation, etc. But if all you need is remote desktop, try out the free account.
I've been using it for many years and definitely recommend their products! UI is fantastic on the iPad!
