In my 11 years at Apple, I've never seen so much new stuff in one day as we saw yesterday. Not only that, but it was all software, software updates and more software, and then some new iOS Apps…no hardware in the mix. I'm sure Comcast was wondering what certain households were up to yesterday with all of that downloading (not to mention your district/college/university bandwidth monitors).
Here's more info. Enjoy.

iOS 5 is available via iTunes, build 9A334. Upgrading to iOS 5 requires iTunes 10.5, which was posted Tuesday, and requires a backup and restore.
Among several other updates, Apple is also posting Server Admin Tools 10.7.2 (auto update and full download) and iPhone Configuration Utility 3.4 for both Mac and Windows (also both auto update and full download). For Snow Leopard there are Security Update 2011-006 and Safari 5.1.1.
Last but not least is a Lion Recovery Update which will update your Recovery partition to 10.7.2 (same for client and Server). This is crucial if you want to remotely lock a machine (using Profile Manager or the new Find My Mac feature of iCloud) that already has a firmware password set. It also allows you to create an external recovery drive that will work on all current Lion hardware.
Some key Lion updates include:
• AD and LDAP integration fixes
• Server data can be moved off the boot volume
• Server setup can be done via screen sharing, or using a Bluetooth keyboard
• Lots of Server migration fixes (for which you'll need to redownload the installer and Server app)
iOS 5 is, of course, full of new features. Both it and 10.7.2 include iCloud. iPCU 3.4 is a minor update, but it does include the ability to manage proxy settings on a WiFi network, and it has new online Help (see below).
