Over the past few weeks, Mike and I have received several questions about the update process and purchase of OS X Mountain Lion. OS X Mountain Lion was released today, so below, please find information and resources related to both of these topics.

OS X Mountain Lion Tech Specs

Before updating to OS X Mountain Lion, you will want to make sure that your computers meet the tech specs listed on http://www.apple.com/osx/specs/

OS X Mountain Lion Up-to-Date

If you purchased a Mac on or after June 11, 2012, you will want to go to the OS X Mountain Lion Up-to-Date program page to request your upgrade.

OS X Mountain Lion Purchasing and Volume Licensing

Pricing for OS X Mountain Lion is $19.99 for a single copy and $9.99 per seat for 20 or more copies. OS X Server is also available for $19.99 for a single copy and $9.99 per seat for 20 or more copies. If you would like a proposal for your institution, you can do so at the Apple online store for Education.
