I had a similar issue here at UW until the Windows guys upgraded the AD DC's to Win2008 server. My drop time was less than 5 min, but was otherwise the same.

Wish I could provide you a more information but our Windows folks get this vacuous deer-in-the-head-lights look in their eyes when you ask them anything.

Hi Rockies.edu,

I have set up some test apple computers that drop off our domain after about two weeks. We are running OS 10.6.8 on these computers. The windows domain controller is a windows 2K3 server. After the computer drops off the domain I go into accounts & log in options & I will see that the green dot is indicating green under network account server logged in as a local admin user. I have to rejoin the domain to log in as a domain user. I have these computers in a separate container in windows active directory. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on this issue.
