Hello Rockies list,
For those that haven't heard about AppleCare+ for iPad, or you had some questions about it, I'm posting some additional info below. Let us know if you have further questions.
What is AppleCare+ and is AppleCare for iPad still available?
AppleCare+ now replaces AppleCare for iPad. AppleCare+ is a 2 year agreement that includes accidental damage coverage. More information is available here:

How much does AppleCare+ Cost?
AppleCare+ is $99 individually, or $79 in 10-Packs of iPads.
Is AppleCare+ available for iPad 2?
Yes, you can buy AppleCare+ for iPad 2 in single units or in 10-Packs.
Can AppleCare+ be added after the sale?
No. For institutions, AppleCare+ must be purchased at the time of sale.
Does AppleCare+ cover accidental damage?
Yes. Each incident costs $49 with a limit of two (2) total incidents.
How do education customers claim an Accidental Damage incident?
There are several methods customers can use to initiate an accidental damage claim:
• iOS Direct Service Program
• Tech Support by calling 800-800-2775
• Tech Support by scheduling a call at http://expresslane.apple.com/
• At the Apple Store through a Genius Bar Appointment

Institutions and School Districts with AppleCare coverage on 100 or more iPads, qualify for access to the iOS Direct Service Program. This program features next day replacement of iOS devices as well as other tools and services available through the Global Service Exchange. There is no cost to enroll in this program and more information as well as application qualifications can be found here:
