All,
I've noticed the Configurator theme on the list these days. Given that theme, I want to make sure you all know about these resources:
Phone Support for Apple Configurator For Apple Configurator Support, there is a special process rather than calling the usual number at AppleCare. AppleCare Enterprise Support now handles all Configurator support calls. Normally, talking with them requires a paid enterprise support contract. In the case of Configurator, they only require that one of the devices you are trying to manage with Configurator and/or the Mac you are running Configurator on is still covered by AppleCare. To contact them, call 866-752-7753. At the second prompt choose option 4 "for all other products". Please note that this is intended to be used to help you resolve problems if you are having them -- not ask them for training.
VPP Issues For some issues, you may (also) need to contact VPP support. They can handle issues such as redemption codes showing as invalid, reporting that the VPP store isn't working, issues downloading your VPP spreadsheet, etc. We have a new web support form to do this. You can contact them by following this link:

iTunes Download Queue being flooded with hundreds or thousands of the same app. Currently, what triggers this to happen is when Configurator redeems a VPP redemption code, which it does the first time it installs a paid app to an iPad. For example, if I purchased 20 licenses of Pages through the VPP, import that VPP spreadsheet into Configurator, and then use Configurator to install that app on 20 iPads, Configurator will end up redeeming 20 VPP codes against that Apple ID. When I next go into iTunes, expect to see iTunes then wanting to download 20 copies of Pages.
This should only happen when Configurator redeems codes. So in this same example, if I update Pages to a newer version, it will not trigger 20 downloads. If I uninstall Pages from those 20 iPads and install it to 20 different iPads using that same instance of Configurator, it should not trigger the downloads. The downloads are added to your download queue when Configurator redeems a code.
There are two workarounds for this at this point:
1. When convenient, allow iTunes to just download all of the copies of apps that it wants to download. You can temporarily stop it from downloading everything by clicking on the "Pause All" button and then resume it when it is convenient.
2. Contact me and I'll forward you the steps you need to go through to request that iTunes Support clear your download queue.
Giving Apple Feedback I wanted to point out that Apple has given you two mechanisms to give feedback on Apple Configurator and we definitely want your feedback. You can send Apple feedback by choosing "Provide Apple Configurator Feedback" in the Apple Configurator menu. This will pop open the Mail app and pre-format an email to email@hidden. You could also just send an email to that address from the mail client of your choice.
This can also be done by going to http://www.apple.com/feedback and give us feedback on what you'd like to see added or changed for any Apple product, including Apple Configurator.
Thanks!
-Mike
