This is a bit off topic, but I am having a hard time with reconfiguring an apple server. It’s a long story, but today I reinstalled the OS which is 10.7.5. However, it acts as if it isn’t a server at all. I originally started with a license for Snow Leopard and last summer upgraded to Lion. It was an APP and a download so of course I don’t have a serial number. Right now I am stuck. I can’t get the deploy studio server to acknowledge that it’s a server and when I run nslookup, it doesn’t see the server.

I have downloaded docs after docs and can’t seem to get where I need to be. Before last week the server was running great and I was able to run deploy studio and send images to the iMacs in my school. Now, nothing. I don’t know where to turn. Any ideas out there? I think I’m going in circles now. L

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mike,

The support article I link to describes the process to do this, specifically:

If you do not already have a copy of the app on your computer, use the first redemption code in your spreadsheet to purchase it in iTunes. After using this code, re-download the spreadsheet and import it into Apple Configurator again. This allows Apple Configurator to automatically reassign this code to one of your devices.
