Mac, and iOS App & iBook Licensing is now live. You can choose between “Redeemable Codes” or “Managed Distribution” when you purchase items through the VPP site.
You can assign apps and books through “Managed Distribution” using Profile Manager in OS X Server for Mavericks. Other MDM vendors have been working on supporting this for a while and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some updates released tomorrow.
