Hello all,
I am trying to troubleshoot slowness for our faculty and staff network homes.
Here is what I'm using:
AD - Windows Server 2008 R2
OD - OS X 10.7.5, XServe (2 x quadcore Xeon, 30 GB RAM, dual bonded 1Gbps ethernet), XRaid (3 TB, 2GB FibreChannel)
Network Statistics look fine
AFP server doesn't seem to be getting over loaded
Caches are being redirected to /tmp, but I'm considering changing that because that gets deleted on every restart
DNS is functioning properly
Things I've noticed:
- OD has created it's own Kerberos realm rather than subjugating itself to the AD realm
- AD users are not automatically populated in OD despite being part of the AD domain
- The slowness is the worst the morning after a weekend
-
On the AFP server, I am getting many "AppleFileServer: received message with invalid client_id" messages in System log
Any and all help or suggestions are appreciated. Thank you,
Justin
