We've sent some iPads to iResq ( http://iresq.com ) and had good luck with them. They use the same adhesive Apple does to affix the glass to the iPad, so it's a strong bond.
One of the big advantages we're seeing with going third party instead of through Apple right now is that we can ask the third party vendors to repair and not exchange the iPads. Every one we've received back from exchange with Apple is not able to be enrolled in DEP.
The other big benefits we're seeing are lower cost on repairs, and a much quicker turnaround on mail-in repairs. Local Apple Store repairs involve 40 minutes of driving, so that's not efficient either.
