Holly, thanks for that information.
I have checked those items for new devices that I am supervising for the first time. The iPads that I am currently fighting with have been supervised for a long time, so unless I un/re-supervise them, I don't have access to those preferences. Maybe I will have to resort to that, un/re supervise step.

Have you checked the items you want to skip in the setup tab on the prepare screen in Configurator? I think that was new a couple of versions ago. I too get frustrated with how many failures happen and that the process to get success is different every time.
