This happened to 3 iPads/iPhones in my building, so surely it’s affecting thousands nationwide. We all had iOS9, and set it up for automatic download for any new updates. All 3 devices are completely frozen. Have tried the hard reset,
letting battery die, etc. Nothing. I am assuming I have to hook it up to my computer to erase it and restore from a backup. Has this affected anyone else? Is there any other solution to this? One teacher never backed it up to a computer, so what is he
supposed to do?
If you manage iPads, TURN OFF automatic software updates. Wait until a newer version comes out before you update.
