Hello all
For 40 years, Apple has had the privilege of working alongside educators to
understand how powerful products, tools, and curriculum can help teachers
unleash the creative genius in every student. We’ve never stopped working to
help teachers make that happen. We’re excited to introduce a new iPad, powerful
apps, and a brand new curriculum to help teachers create those magical learning
experiences.
The new iPad: The perfect computer for learning looks nothing like a computer.
The new 9.7-inch iPad brings the powerful A10 Fusion chip and Apple Pencil
support to schools, starting at $299 for education institutions, making it the
best iPad for inspiring creativity and learning. iPad is a versatile tool for
all the things students do at school every day and has even more power to
create anything they dream up. Featuring a beautiful, large Retina display,
all-day battery life, a light, thin design with advanced front and back
cameras, iPad gives students the freedom to create, explore, and express new
ideas. Students love learning with iPad. Learn more about iPad

With apps, iPad can be anything you need it to be.
Every iPad comes with amazing built-in apps, including Pages, Numbers, and
Keynote. Today, all new versions of these apps are available with Apple Pencil
support, so students can draw and write inside all their projects. With Smart
Annotation Beta in Pages, teachers have a great new way to provide feedback to
students in their documents. Teachers and students can also use the new book
templates in Pages to make interactive digital books, complete with photos,
videos, and illustrations. GarageBand has also been updated to include new
education sound effects, like animals and vehicles. And the Clips app now has
education-themed labels, stickers, and designs.
Augmented reality on iPad goes even further in transforming how students learn
about and connect with the world around them. Turn the classroom into the
cosmos or dissect a frog with Apple Pencil. iPad creates learning experiences
that are simply not possible on other platforms. Learn more about augmented
reality <https://www.apple.com/ios/augmented-reality/>.
A new curriculum that brings creative expression to every subject.
We designed a new curriculum called Everyone Can Create to teach students the
art of expression through video, photography, music, and drawing using apps
built into every iPad. The curriculum includes a Student Guide with hands-on
projects, and a Teacher Guide that helps teachers find fun and meaningful ways
to bring these skills into any lesson, topic, or assignment. New session
content inspired by the program will be available at your local Apple Store in
May. Learn more about Everyone Can Create

Apps that help teachers put the power of technology to work.
The Classroom app is a versatile teaching assistant that puts the teacher in
charge of every iPad in the classroom to keep students focused, even when
they’re not all doing the same thing. The Classroom app is available on iPad
now, and will be available for Mac in beta this summer. Learn more about the
Classroom app <http://www.apple.com/education/teaching-tools/>.
Schoolwork is a powerful iPad app built to help teachers unleash each student’s
potential. Teachers can share class materials, assign activities within apps,
and view student progress. They can also tailor instruction based on individual
student needs. And students have one place to see assignments, submit work, and
view their own progress. Learn more about Schoolwork

Plenty of space for students to think big.
iCloud safely stores students’ files, keeping their documents and projects up
to date, secure, and accessible from any device. And now, any teacher or
student with a Managed Apple ID gets 200GB of free iCloud storage.
