Why this new forum?
I like the older WO forum. So, why Apple choose this new solution? I'd
prefer the previous version for:
- check subscription to follow a discussion and receive an email when
a new message arrived
- read only the message that interestes me (and not receive all)
- read (and so receive) message when I want
- not receive all messages in my full mail box
- etc.
Are there anybody that think like me?
I actually prefer the mailing list format, but there are times when a
web-based access point is useful.
I believe you can emulate much of the previous solution by setting your
subscription to not send any messages, and then access the list archive
online at
http://lists.apple.com/mhonarc/webobjects-dev/index.html
and
http://lists.apple.com/mhonarc/webobjects-deploy/index.html
There doesn't seem to be any search functionality in the web archive
(YET, I hope...), but it's there.
