Ok Guys,
I'm ver, very new to this part of WebObjects but I have learn it because
there is going to b no technical back up apart from what I can find out from
this list or lists like it.
I am the only person that host on a server where I have managed to talk
them into installing WODeployment for my applications and to begin with I
just want to check that this is correct - this is the email I got back from
one of the server techies:
HI John,
I have installed WebObjects but not the update at the mo. The link is below
but I need to have the monitor running with me logged in to make it work,
so let me know when you want to test it and I will run the monitor. The
link is below.
http://www.thepictureden.com:56789/cgi-bin/WebObjects.exe/JavaMonitor.woa/wo/YFBKANg4BKpShuuG1SBRow/3.0.5
My question is, should the port number be in here? I thought this was only a
feature of testing deployment in the development stage.
Most site's WebObjects URL that I have seen on the lists do not have the
port number in then, they go straight to the cgi after the domain name.
Or is this simply for the monitor to work.
Kind regards
Jonathan
Ps. I've just started reading the WEbObjects Deployment Environment PDF from
Apple... Hopefully it won't lead me up the garden path like some of Apple
docs have been known to do... inadvertently of course :-)
