JNDI Model with MS Active Directory

Is anyone out there using or have experience using the JNDI EOModel adaptor with active directory? I was going to try and use this to get user information from AD. I can get my model to connect to AD, I created a table that contains the directory information I want, and I can even browse the data. However when I create a fetch specification so I can pull only the records I want I get the following error when I try to use the fetch specification:

java.lang.NullPointerException
com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapNamingEnumeration.getNextBatch(LdapNamingEnumeration.java:108)
...

Is there something I am missing here, or does AD not play well with the EOModel JNDI adaptor?
