No.  I've never heard of any hardware-specific issues.  You probably have a
software version mis-match.

Did you upgrade the Developer Tools?  Read this from the 5.2.1 instructions:

> WebObjects 5.2.1 Developer requires:
> Mac OS X 10.2.4 or later
> December 2002 Mac OS X Developer Tools

> If you have not yet updated to the correct version of Mac OS X (Server) or
> Developer Tools, you must do so before installing WebObjects 5.2.1.  Mac OS X

If you're still having problems, it would help to know the exact error
message you're getting.
