Project Builder Build Query

Yesterday I somehow trashed Project builder... it wasn't showing me the the coloration for the java files like green for the comment and purple for the keywords etc so I had to reinstall that didn't seem to help so I restored my system to a few days prior (I'm on XP so that was a doddle) and that sorted it, but now when I build my apps I get this error: Creating crossplatform launch file... grep: not found grep: not found grep: not found grep: not found grep: not found grep: not found grep: not found grep: not found grep: not found

The apps build and seem to run OK, but it's a bit disconcerting to see something in the build that I never saw before. Can anyone tell me what this is or what is missing or even how to restore it.
