This an Xcode project not Project Builder, Xcode to Xcode. You mentioned "tricky text editing." is there any information on this?

I need help with the 1st option you've noted, Project A on XCode --> Project B.

I found the easiest way in PBX was to copy the project A *folder* in a new folder, so that the project name doesn't change. Remember to do a Clean any time you switch between the two.

This may still apply to Xcode.

Hi George

I'm not sure what you mean by duplicating. I have asked and received answers around this topic, but there is some ambiguity in your question.

Do you have and XCode project that you wish to copy, making a new project that is functionally identical, but with a new name?
i.e. given project A on XCode, make an identical project B

or

do you have a project in Jaguar / Project Builder which you wish to recreate on Panther / XCode
i.e, given project A on Project builder, make an identical project A on XCode

I have done both and can probably sort out some instructions.

For option one above you need to do some tricky text editing in side the project file bundle
For option two above you copy just the whole project folder and recompile, but if you have settings to explicitly select java 1.3.1 you will need to remove them. details on request :-)

I believe there is a support posting regarding duplicating projects under Xcode. But, I've been unable to find it. If someone could point me in the right direction...

Thanks,
George
