Writing EOAdaptor for EOModeler

Does anyone know where I can find some information on writing an *EOAdaptor.framework for use in EOModeler? I'm guessing the the two JDBCEOAdaptor.framework and JNDIEOAdaptor.framework bridge over to their modern Java counterparts and I'd like to do the same for my custom EOAdaptor written in Java. I'm well versed in ObjC and aware of the ObjC EO* frameworks in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks, but I don't know what EOModeler expects me to put in the adaptor. Anyone have any clues?
